Why property swap or part exchange?
Property swapping or part exchange can eliminate delays associated with collapsed chains and complete a chain in a difficult market.
It can also save a fortune on estate agents fees

Can property swap or part exchange speed things up?
Absolutely. Your chain will be complete, and we will check out your purchasers mortgage status

How do I value my home?
Look in the local paper for similar properties to your own, research web sites who provide a valuation service,
or pay for a professional valuation. There are many web sites which have Land Registry details of properties sold in your area.
We can also provide a FREE VALUATION via our member estate agents. >> Click here for a FREE valuation <<

It is essential to be realistic on your valuation.

What if they like my property, but I don't like theirs?
This is where we can help. We maybe able to arrange a 'multi-swap', with perhaps four properties being part exchanged.
Be Flexible, your part exchange is partly about compromise.

Are all the properties on the site realistically priced?
We hope so, but you need to do some research. We encourage our part exchangers to be realistic

Do I still pay stamp duty?
Afraid so. Stamp duty has to be paid at the appropriate rate on the purchase of the
property you are part exchanging with. It has to be paid on the TOTAL price and NOT just the
difference in values

Do I need a HIP? (Home Information Pack)
If you are selling your property or part exchanging you will need a HIP. This will need to be in
place BEFORE you market your property. We will need a copy of it and will contact you
to arrange this. Don't worry it's really easy to arrange, see below

Who arranges the pack?
You can arrange it yourself via your solicitor or directly with a HIP provider. Or you can take the simple option
and let swapproperty arrange it for you. We charge just £299.00 for a FREEHOLD property, please enquire for leasehold.
We MUST have a copy of the packbefore we market your home

When and how do I pay swapproperty?
For a successful part exchange arranged by swapproperty
we charge a 1% of the final sale price completion fee. COMPLETION FEE ONLY PAYABLE IF WE
ARRANGE A SWAP, PART EXCHANGE OR SALE.

Where is my property advertised and how will other potential swappers find this site?
It is advertised on this specialist site to part exchangers LIKE YOU. Also on:

Does my property have to be of the same value to to the one I want to part exchange with?
No you can go upmarket, down market or have a sideways move. Remember of course that if going upmarket you
will have to provide additional funding, just like a normal purchase transaction.

writing to everyone involved, including solicitors

Can I have my property on the market with an estate agent as well as you?
Yes you can, and we would encourage you to do so, but check the small print if you have a
